The University of Leeds Climate Plan and you
The University of Leeds published its Climate Plan in December 2021, setting out the pathway to an ambitious goal of delivering net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. It also maps out how the University will achieve its other climate commitments, including supporting a net zero city, achieving sustainable travel, enabling responsible investment, shaping institutional decision-making, reorienting research and teaching, and providing a sustainable curriculum.

Delivering the Climate Plan will require collaboration across the University community, involving academic staff, professional services and students. This webinar will offer an overview of the plan and begin to explore how Leeds students can get involved with delivering a just transition to net zero across campus and beyond.

We will also introduce the new Climate Plan Student Challenge and hear more about a recent Living Lab project, i-Tree.

The panel:
- James Dixon-Gough, Sustainability Manager
- Professor Piers Forster, Director of the Priestley International Centre for Climate
- Hazel Mooney, PhD researcher
